A VINTAGE UPHOLSTERY MIRACLE

Not very often do you find vintage upholstered furniture in which you would even consider leaving the original upholstery. Well I think I may have found one of the few exceptions - that exception being these delicious navy blue velvet stools. I'm only going off the pictures but they look pretty damn good to me. And definitely worth the $180 a pop to find out for sure. Somebody somewhere needs these at the end of their bed.

THAT'S CATCHING

I love a good catch-all.  On your bedside table, layered on a vanity tray, chillin' on a stack of books.  It adds interest and its practical for keeping all your purty cocktail rings right where you can see them.

Perfect size, great for fall, looks more expensive than it really is. This piece reminds me of something from Kelly Wearstler's line of accessories for Bergdorfs - without the $3000 price tag.  Loves it!

YOU'RE KILIM' ME

Anatolian Turkish Kilim Rug Starting Bid: $79 ebay.com

I don't believe there's a better way to add color and charisma to a space than laying down a vintage Kilim rug. Whether it's at the foot of your bed, layered over an inexpensive seagrass rug, or strewn down your entryway you really can't go wrong. It's a sure-fire conversation piece that will make your guests think you're really cultured even though the farthest you had to travel was your Paypal account to buy it. So bust out your bidding paddle and get your ebay on with this bad boy coming to you straight off the boat from Turkey. Holla!

MINTY FRESH

Good things are happening here. I came across this shop a little while back and instantly fell in love. Lots of fab vintage finds at even more fab prices. They have a diverse collection of all sorts of unique things from brass to barware. I recently ordered a couple pink ikat pillows and they arrived in adorable packaging complete with a handwritten note. Since then, they got in some great new arrivals that are definitely worth checking out. I have a feeling I will be shopping here again very soon... already begun my wish list!

PILLOW TALK

Small Auytla Pillow $44.95 Joss & Main

It's time to come clean... I think I'm addicted to decorative pillows. I've been getting packages in the mail almost everyday filled with new pillowcases (leopard, ikat, you name it).  I find myself running to Crate & Barrel every weekend to stock up on pillow inserts like it's the millennium.

So you can imagine my delight when I saw THIS minty striped beauty on Joss & Main over the weekend.  I had seen this guy before - but now it was half the price. And then I saw the two magic words... insert included! Oh no they didn't.

They say the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. I tracked my package this morning and I should be expecting it on Friday. Sorry I'm not sorry.

HARD CANDY

Hey girl hey! Are these chairs ridonk or what? Designed by Sergio Mazza circa 1970, these babes are made of fiberglass and coated in hard resin making them perfect for a groovy outdoor patio.

The multi-color candy stripes have me practically salivating and their organic shape is simply divine. Were these stolen from the Chocolate Factory because they're totally Willy Wonka Chic.

WHAT THE SHELL?

Sun-Bleached Turtle Shells $85-$150 Jayson Home

Deer antlers? So five minutes ago...

Last week I caught wind of these funky sun-bleached turtle shells from Jayson Home on Pinterest and I haven't stopped thinking about them since. It brought back early design memories of Kelly Wearstler's bold use of them in The Tides South Beach, as well as Nate Berkus' living room where he mixed one in with his art wall.

There's just something impossibly cool about them.  They add texture and depth to an otherwise boring wall - and what a conversation starter!

INSTA-HUNT

While braving the toasty California weather this weekend I encountered some lovely little treasures. During a mandatory trip to the mall (yuck) I stopped into Anthropologie and couldn't help myself to some of their swoon-worthy dish ware. I also took a trip down to the Santa Monica Flea Market, which is held at the airport and one of my favorites in Los Angeles. Have a look-sy at some of my fab finds:
Put together this stylish assortment of bowls for my mom to store her jewelry in.
Love these tribal pillows from Anthro.
Picked up this fun oversize scarf at Zara for $15 which is now draped over the end of my bed.
Hey there's a raccoon on my chair!
A pile of vintage Asiatic Pheasant plates - yum.
Oh just a giant brass giraffe.
Rawr.
First thing I saw at the flea market and it was only $40.  Already regret not buying this.
But I did buy THIS! She needs a new seat cushion but I just couldn't resist. It was love at first sight <3

OLÉ OLÉ

Sombrero Sheet Set $226 Anthropologie

Do I even have to explain why these sheets are absolutely beyond? I always say there is nothing better than waking up in a mass of white linens. Unless, of course, those white linens have multi-colored tassel trim.

I can't describe how desperately I need these in my life.

SITTING PRETTY

Handwoven Malawi Bucket Chair $325 Serena & Lily

Malawi-Wowi! I'm not quite sure exactly where that is (geography is not my strong suit) but apparently they know what's up when it comes to boho-chic chairs. It's like they took a peacock chair and gave it a sassy bob haircut.

Props to Serena & Lily for finding this little gem - and at a great price too! So casual and inviting, I'm picturing a pair of these chairs surrounding a clean-lined entryway console or as a corner accent in an eclectic living room. The possibilities are endless!

YOU HAD ME AT TURQUOISE

I recently stumbled upon these turquoise stunners on a recent Etsy binge and instantly fell in love. They seemed to encompass everything I love into one fabulous pair of table lamps. Mid-century modern silhouette - check. Chic asian detailing - check. Turquoise - check.

The only thing more fabulous than these lamps is the price tag. I must be reading it wrong because I thought it said $65.  No?  Where's my Visa!
